HIRING: Computer/Network Tech Program Instructor (Full-Time Days)

MTTI is seeking an experienced Computer Service Technician / Network Installer to join our team full-time. This unique position combines hands-on IT responsibilities with teaching in our Computer Service Technician / Network Installer program.

No teaching experience is required. We will train you to become an effective instructor.

What You’ll Do

• Maintain and support MTTI’s computer network and technology infrastructure
• Teach students in the Computer Service Technician / Network Installer program using your real-world experience
• Demonstrate industry best practices and troubleshooting techniques
• Configure, maintain, and upgrade classroom and lab equipment
• Help prepare students for successful careers in the IT industry
• Work closely with faculty and staff to support the school’s technology needs

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of hands-on field experience in computer service, networking, or systems administration
• Organized, dependable, motivated, and passionate about technology
• Strong communication skills and a willingness to mentor others
• A desire to help students succeed

Experience with:

• PC system building, assembly, setup, and verification
• Windows Server administration
• Windows 10 and Windows 11
• Apple iMac computers
• iPads and Android tablets
• Linux operating systems
• Hardware and software troubleshooting and repair
• Microsoft Office Professional
• Wired and wireless networking
• Routers, switches, VLANs, VPNs, wireless access points, and VoIP systems
• Virtualization using Hyper-V and VirtualBox
• System imaging, backups, maintenance, upgrades, and peripheral installation

Preferred Experience

• Installation and testing of UTP, coaxial, and fiber optic cabling
• Installation of 110 patch panels and network jacks
