HVAC/R career paths are diverse–you can work in installation and/or service. Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration is essential to the temperature, humidity, and total air quality in residential, commercial and industrial buildings. Refrigeration systems make it possible to store and transport food, medicine, and other perishable items. Throughout MTTI’s HVAC Technician Program you will study and gain hands-on experience that will prepare you for entry-level positions in the HVAC & Refrigeration industry.

At MTTI, we focus on short-term, intensive programs. In just 30 weeks you will gain the confidence and skill necessary to install, troubleshoot, repair, and service residential and commercial heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems! Students who attend the HVAC/R Program five days a week complete in 7 months; those attending three nights a week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday) complete in 18 months.
HVAC Technician Program students prepare for the EPA Universal Certification exam. Additionally, students and graduates of the HVAC/R Technician program are eligible to take licensing examinations to earn the RI Oil Burner Technician License and the RI Gas Technician License.
