It’s challenging to select the right candidates to fill entry-level positions! You want your investment in hiring to yield productive employees. To assist you in making the best match, we offer a full range of services to the employment community.
Curricula for all programs of technology are developed in response to your hiring needs. MTTI seeks ongoing input from employers to develop curricula. Your advice helps ensure that our instruction reflects your industry’s or trade’s current hiring needs.
We will arrange for you to visit the school to meet with individual students and grads—or an entire class—
whenever you need to fill a position. During your visit, you may identify individuals you want to talk with again as they approach internship or graduation.
We invite you to submit a job description by calling or emailing Career Services. We will contact graduates to assess their interest and availability. We will submit resumes to you by fax or email.
Students in every program undertake an internship to prepare for employment. An internship is a great way to evaluate a student’s skill level, work habits and suitability for your organization. Students are covered under the school’s insurance for personal liability while at your worksite.
For information about programs:
We encourage you to visit the school to tour the classrooms, view the program curriculum and meet instructors and staff. Career Services will schedule a time that is convenient for you to visit.
Career Services will come to your site to learn about your specific internship or hiring needs. By meeting staff, seeing your facilities, and understanding the role an intern or new hire will fill at your worksite, we can better select appropriate candidates.
At your request, Career Services will provide you with a summary of the candidate’s academic performance and work habits. Students sign release forms giving permission to share this information so that employers can evaluate their suitability for the internship or employment. Information includes written test scores, skills evaluations, attendance, and work maturity skills ratings, and (for graduates) internship evaluations.
We offer organizations that intern and/or hire MTTI students/graduates the opportunity to film an Employer Spotlight video testimonial, and list your business or practice (at no charge) on our Employer Testimonial pages. If you haven’t yet connected with Career Services, please contact the Career Services Representative for your industry. Career Services will connect you with our Marketing Department to setup your Employer Spotlight video shoot.
